Come On; Really?: From Denny:  Now First Lady Michelle Obama is accused of being the archetypal "angry black woman" for daring to stare down and get in the face of an inept protester who just thought the First Lady would tolerate her rudeness. Where do people get these ideas about how this was a racist heckling incident with white entitlement overtones?

Well, never to be a shrinking violet from controversy on my blog, let's start with the "angry black woman" stereotype...

From Denny:  Any time we witness a fall from grace of a very public figure we all wince.  Maybe it's a case of TMI.  Maybe it's because our thoughts swiftly fly to the embarrassed wife and children in sympathetic support.  Maybe we have been betrayed in a similar fashion and don't enjoy the reminder.  Or just maybe we were the thoughtless wonders who did the hurting.

Whatever the case this is always a sad event.  When you add the intelligence community component it could too easily evolve into a national security disaster.  Move over, Wiki Leaks, the old-fashioned honeypot trap works in any century as an easy way to extract sensitive information.

The Social Poets: New York Times Un-American To Criticize Olympics Athlete Lolo Jones Before Race: From Denny:  Now we enter the den of The Media Stupid, courtesy of the compromised New York Times. There seems to be a rather nasty bunch of writers over there these days, a sharp detour away from the stable of interesting intellectuals they once sported.

The current group has too many members who are all about plagiarizing letters to the editor (like what happened to me one too many times so I quit reading them years ago, then started up my own pack of blogs as a copyrighted version of letters to the editor.  Hey, it works for me.)

Their other favorite tactic now is ripping an Olympic athlete just days before competition.  How un-American can you get to criticize any athlete representing your country just before competition?

From Denny:  Who would think a little house cleaning would create such an uproar in the Middle East?  As usual the military is so action and task oriented they forgot to use their brains.  Book burning of any kind is bad news in my mind.

But when you are burning books that are in a foreign language you can't read, don't you think it would have been smart to consult a few locals to sift the books for you, instead of indiscriminately burning everything?

They would easily spot the religious books and set them aside.  But no, the military employed their usual stupidity, need for speed and just marched onward.
